week 1. - first field intervention research
→ notes from the first talk
→ first field research
We wanted to do this intervention to ask the question where does art belong in this university. The ones with a little star are the ones that are still at uni. We saw that there are some places that the FIT (Blue Shirt People) think its okay to put art.
2 days after being put up
1 day after being put up
2 days after being put up
1 hour after being put up
Printing day
We decided to do more specific field research through asking people to illustrate how they would change the interior of the academy so they can feeel more productive
Shock because Jasper said that the university doesn't allow him to put up posters anymore because it "ruins" the wall!
week 2. - a small change of direction
a teacher and a student filling in the zine
During our second talk we discussed the academy and the way the environment inside affects the creativity and wellbeing of the students.
The blank black and white walls that welcome us every time were something that a lot of students that we asked felt intimidated of;
the space that we inhabit every day and in which we grow as creatives is feeling as if it is in contradiction with our creative flow.
Firstly, there is the feeling of unbelonging for certain departments, due to the lack of dedicated work areas and secondy the overall unnecessarily restrictive environment: in our research that took place as the staff taking down harmless posters
our solution: is to do the field research, collect and analyze the data and send a proposal to wdka lifecycle.
we believe that we are still capable of making changes in the spaces that we inhabit, and making our existence
filled with a bit more joy and colour :)
